I am Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Lehigh University. I am also affiliated with Data X, an interdisciplinary initiative that pushes the envelope of data analytics research. Prior to joining Lehigh, I was a Research Staff Member and security analytic lead at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center. I received my Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology with Prof. Ling Liu as my advisor.
I lead the uPod♬ Lab (“unreasonable Power of data”) at Lehigh. We are a group of multidisciplinary researchers who are extremely passionate about data. Our research goal is to use and develop powerful analytics tools to improve the way in which we understand and interact with the social, technological and business world around us. Towards this end, our efforts involve (i) developing new concepts and principles, (ii) designing intelligent algorithms and (iii) building scalable systems.
Our current research
focuseson three thrusts: computational privacy, cyber-security analytics and network science in general. Read more about our work here.
